Women founders · Women developers · Made in Ireland
You built the first version. Let's make it ready for what's next.
Tools like Lovable, Claude and Bolt get you to a prototype. We get you the rest of the way, on code you own, with each stage costed before it starts.
Gertie is a women-led software agency. We specialise in working with women founders.
Choose your next step
Set up on foundations you own
Get your own code repository, database and a clear brief before you build further.
Plan my setup → Built a prototypeFind out what's ready, and what isn't
We review your product and explain the risks, priorities and possible fixes in plain English.
Get a health check → Preparing to launch or apply for fundingGet a clear scope and quote
We turn your goals into a phased build plan, with an estimate for each stage, that you can use to plan your launch or support a funding application.
Plan my build →Sound familiar?
Built with Lovable, Bolt, Replit or another AI tool? These are the snags most founders run into sooner or later, and what we do about each.
Lock-in
If your builder went down tomorrow, could your app be running somewhere else within a week? We move your code, data and hosting into accounts you own.
Cost
Every "fix this" burns credits, and founders report bills in the hundreds each month. Your own setup runs for a fraction of that.
Things break
The longer you build, the more the AI forgets and breaks things you didn't ask it to touch. We add tests and saved checkpoints, so every change can be undone.
Security
AI tools build the door but often forget the lock: exposed keys, missing database rules. We check and fix them before your users find out.
Scaling
A page that loads instantly for 10 users can crawl for 1,000. We find the slow spots before your launch does.
What you can expect
You own your code
Your code, domain and accounts are in your name from day one. You can take your product elsewhere whenever you choose.
Clear prices and progress
We cost each stage before it starts, and nothing goes ahead until you've agreed it. Every Friday, you get a plain-English update on what's done and what's next.
Flexible by design
Life doesn't pause for a launch. We plan our work, and yours, around the lives people actually lead, so a hard week doesn't derail the project.
Independent, not dependent
We design for your self-sufficiency and aim to make ourselves unnecessary. That might mean giving you the tools to make changes yourself, showing you how things work, or telling you honestly when you don't need us.
How it works
Four steps. Stop after any of them.
1. Health check
We look under the bonnet and tell you, in plain English, what's solid, what needs attention, and what to fix first.
2. A clear plan and quote
An estimate for each phase, itemised and excluding VAT. Useful if you're applying for a LEO or Enterprise Ireland grant.
3. Move and build
Your own repo, hosting and database, with tests and backups. Then we build what's next. You leave with a simple way to make small changes yourself.
4. Care
Once you're live: a monthly check, small changes, and a quarterly review.
What the health check includes:
- a review of your code and setup
- a plain-English findings report
- priorities for fixes
